This unit communicates with the eGauge main unit using a building's existing power lines.
Easy installation
Plug adapter into wall-outlet, plug supplied Ethernet cable into adapter and an available Ethernet port on your router, modem, or Ethernet hub/switch.
Versatility
A single adapter can communicate with up to 16 eGauge or other HomePlug devices.
Compatibility
The adapter can communicate not just with eGauge, but any other HomePlug 1.0-compatible device. For example, buy a second adapter to extend your LAN to other rooms.
Security
All communication is encrypted with 56-bit DES. Custom-encryption password can be selected via eGauge main unit's web-based configuration.
